Why do teachers love DLL?

Being digitally literate and capable is as important as baseline literacy and numeracy. However, it is often assumed that young people, being classified as digital natives, can perform all the digital functions they need without specific instruction. The growing digital skills gap is proving this to be incorrect with many employers citing that school leavers do not understand some of the foundational concepts such as file management, email etiquette and cyber safety to the standard required in the workplace.

What’s included?

Story-Telling Approach to Learning

The lessons begin with story-telling, mixed in with some decision-making. Go on a journey with our DLL characters as they learn all about navigating a digital world. We follow this group of friends and family throughout the four levels of the program, learning alongside them.
Interactive Content

The program involves the participant in completing activities along the way to reinforce the messages from the characters and stories as well as the subsequent content that is presented. By the time the participant reaches the assessment points, they have already undertaken a range of activities to reinforce the message.
Activity Type Indicators

There are consistent markers across the program to highlight the type of activity that is being presented. This may be a video, link to a website, click to reveal, or a drag and drop style activity. It is quick and easy to identify the type of activity by glancing at the top corner of the slide.
Content Outlines

Each lesson begins with a Lesson Roadmap that outlines the content that will be covered in the lesson. Each GPS indicator on the map provides additional detail on each topic.
